Château Capet-Guillier 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a fine grain and a fine freshness. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of small wild fruits/blue fruits associated with discreet hints of violet, tonka bean, a hint of nutmeg as well as a very discreet hint of sandal wood and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral/juicy frame, a small tension and dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh strawberry and small notes of cassis associated with a subtle hint of black cherry, liquorice, chocolate and toasted/vanilla. Tannins are elegant. Good length. A very discreet chew on the finish.
