Château Cantinot 2020 – Blaye Côtes-de-Bordeaux 

The nose is fruity, discreetly tight and offers a small power, a fleshy fruit, gourmandize and a certain deepness. It reveals notes of white strawberry, small bright red berries, small notes of racy minerality associated with touches of pulpy cassis, small pulpy/juicy fruits as well as fine hints of grey pepper, spices, liquorice, a subtle hint of sweet spices and cornflower. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, an acidulous frame, a small gourmandize, fullness, energy and a small straightness/tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/acidulous raspberry, pulpy/juicy strawberry, small notes of pulpy/bright cassis associated with a touch of plum, cornflower, lily as well as hints of nutmeg, cardamom, a discreet hint of vanilla, a subtle hint of chocolate (in the background) and hazelnut. Tannins are racy and structuring. A small softness and a discreet saline hint in the finish/persistence.
