Château Cantenac Brown 2018 – Margaux, Cru Classé

Château Cantenac Brown 2018 – Margaux, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fine, racy and offers finesse, concentration (but full of finesse), a beautiful fine grain, intensity, delicacy as well as a fine tension. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy wild cassis and small notes of ripe wild strawberry associated with small touches of cherry, flowers (violet, cornflower, lilac), fine hints of cardamom, vanilla, graphite, very fine hints of caramelization as well as a very discreet hint of tea, toasted, hazelnut/almond and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. A multi layers wine which requiers times, patience and work in teh glasse to be understood. The palate is beautifully fruity, fresh, well-balanced, elegant, very discreetly tight and offers dynamism, a fine tension, a fine fleshiness, a fine richness, a beautiful definition, a beautiful touch, a beautiful finesse, a beautiful gourmandize as well as a ripe and juicy fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy cassis and small notes of violet associated with small touches of fleshy/juicy raspberry, juicy/fleshy black cherry as well as subtle hints of racy minerality, nutmeg, spices, discreet hints of vanilla, very discreet hints of almond (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of cocoa. Tannins are elegant, fine and racy. There are very fine hints of caramelization on the finish/persistence. Very fine hints of almond, chocolate and Bourbon vanilla on the persistence. Good length. A beautiful wine !
