Château Cantenac-Brown 2016  – Margaux, 3ème Cru Classé

The nose is beautifully built, elegant, aromatic and powerful (full of elegance/class). It reveals notes of blueberry, blackberry and slight notes of fresh/ripe raspberry, violet associated with slight hints of flowers, Sichuan pepper as well as discreet hints of tonka bean and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, nicely delicate/fine and offers a beautiful acid frame, tension, a beautiful finesse, a good structure, a beautiful “guideline” as well as a certain straightness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh/ripe blackberry and slight notes of ripe/fresh raspberry, strawberry associated with a discreet toasted hint, a very discreet hint of mocha/coffee, slight notes of tea (in the background, discreet) as well as hints of minerality and dark chocolate in the background/finish. Tannins are fine and very elegant. Beautiful potential!
