Château Canon Montségur – Cuvée Oscar 2018 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose offers a small concentration as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of pulpy wild cassis, fleshy blackberry and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with fine touches of crushed cherry, violet, a hint of cherry blossoms, nutmeg, green cardamom as well as a discreet hint of tea and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a good definition, gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, a certain tension as well as a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy strawberry, pulpy/ juicy Boysenberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy cherry associated with touches of lily, cornflowers, zan, hints of vanilla, almond toasted as well as a subtle hint of hazelnut and tea. Tannins are slightly firm. Good length. Presence of a fine hint of vanilla bean on the persistence.
