Château Canon Montségur – Cuvée Lancelot 2018 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fresh, fruity, a bit tight and offers a fine concentration as well as a fine racy minerality. There are notes of crunchy wild raspberry, juicy / fresh blackberry and small notes of red berries associated with touches of fresh blue plum, licorice, fresh violet as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, mineral, racy and offers « peps », energy, an acidulous frame, a good definition, roundness, fat as well as a floral / varietal touch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh / juicy blackberry, pulpy / fresh cassis and small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of small crunchy red berries, violet / lilac, hints of cardamom, tonka bean, toasted as well as a subtle hint of toasted almond and very discreet hints of caramelization. Good length. A fine sapidity on the finish / persistence.
