On the nose, fruity, elegant and offers power, some depth as well as a balanced richness and freshness. It reveals notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, fresh/chunky blackcurrant and more lightly crushed strawberry combined with hints of crushed plum, blueberry, limestone, gray pepper as well as very fine hints of fresh tobacco and a subtle spice. On the palate, nicely mineral and offers juicy/fresh fruit, tension, a nice acidic frame as well as roundness, smoothness, a nice freshness, some small richness/content and energy. The wine expresses pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy/acidic black currant and more lightly fresh blueberry notes with hints of tart/fresh red berries, pulpy plum and hints of chocolate, toasted hazelnut, cardamom and a subtle hint of vanilla (in the background). Good length. The tannins are present, massive, fresh and well conducted. |
