Château Branas Grand Poujeaux 2016 – Moulins-En-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

Château Branas Grand Poujeaux 2016 – Moulins-En-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fruity and offers power, a fine intensity as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis, wild blackberry and more slightly wild raspberry associated with small touches of cherry as well as hints of flowers, Cuben pepper and zan. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, tension, a mineral frame (racy minerality), a small juiciness as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, griotte and more slightly fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with small touches of acidulous/ripe red berries as well as fine hints of zan and a very discreet hint of toasted/toasted hazelnut. Tannins are very discreetly firm. Good length.
