Château Branas Grand Poujeaux 2014 – Moulis-en-Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

The nose is relatively aromatic, powerful, fresh, elegant, relatively slight and offers a slight richness. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of wild strawberry associated with a hint of crushed raspberry as well as slight notes of gray pepper, mocha and oak. The palate is fruity, fine, sleek, silky, nicely gourmand, well-balanced and offers fat, a good matter, density, tension, a aerial side as well as a good structure. Nice mouth! In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry and crushed cassis associated with slight notes of blueberry, raspberry, small red berries and chocolate as well as a hint of coffee, racy minerality and grilled oak. Tannins are fine and elegant. There are very slight notes of cacao and coffee grains on the finish. Good aromatic persistence!
