Château Bourgneuf 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, racy and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, tension as well as finesse in its power. It reveals notes of ripe/fresh cassis, ripe/fresh blackberry and small notes of ripe/fresh raspberry associated with touches of violet, cardamom, liquorice, ripe small blue fruits and very fine hints of almond. The palate is fruity, elegant, racy, mineral, tight and offers a small freshness, a fine grain as well as suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh/ripe blackberry, juicy/fresh/ripe cassis and small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of violet, lilac, subtle hints of juicy/crunchy small berries, hints of tonka bean, zan, Bourbon vanilla as well as a subtle hint of sugared mild tobacco and clove. Tannins are elegant, structuring and precise. Good length.
