Château Bourgneuf 2015 – Pomerol

Château Bourgneuf 2015 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, relatively powerful and offers finesse. It reveals notes of cassis, crème de cassis and coffee associated with small touches of oak and a discreet hint of flowers and clay. The palate is fruity, nicely structured, well-balanced, racy, quite gourmand, relatively fat and offers freshness, suavity, fine notes of racy minerality (terroir) as well as a beautiful, silky and a bit smooth matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry jam, raspberry, plum and slight notes of chocolate associated with slight notes of flowers (cornflower …), minerality and fine notes of toasted oak. Tannins are fine, elegant and offers a beautiful maturity (for an EnPrimeur wine). Beautiful tannic structure. Good length.
