Château Beychevelle 2019 – Saint-Julien Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fine, racy and offers a beautiful juicy/fresh fruit, a controlled power, precision as well as deepness and an aromatic intensity. It reveals notes of crushed/ripe wild cassis, small notes of wild raspberry associated with touches of violet, small crushed blue plum, zan/liquorice stick as well as discreet hints of nutmeg, incense, toasted hazelnut, a very discreet hint of black tea and an imperceptible hint of aromatic herbs/almost sage. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, finesse, roundness, suavity, a fine unctuosity (in delicacy), precision, power (in elegance and in subtility) as well as a fine and very discreetly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed wild cassis, small notes of cornflower associated with small touches of liquorice, fine hints of vanilla pod, mocha as well as an imperceptible hint of camphor (in the background) and an imperceptible almost of sage hint. Tannins are elegant, racy and coating. Good length.
