Château Beychevelle 1986 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

Château Beychevelle 1986 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, powerful, precise and offers a beautiful grain as well as density. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wild strawberry and small notes of violet, Cuben pepper associated with fine hints of Ceylan tea, exotic spices as well as very discreet hints of underwood and tonka bean. The palate is fruity, juicy, elegant, beautifully gourmand, precise and offers a beautiful definition, an acidulous/juicy frame, a small frank side, complexity as well as richness (but full of finesse and elegance). On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous cassis, juicy/acidulous raspberru and small touches of acidulous/juicy wild blackberry associated with fine hints of juicy/acidulous small red berries, underwood, flowers (violet, lilac), caramelization, underwood as well as a very discreet hint of tonka bean. Tannins are elegant and well-built. A beautiful finish !
