Château Bélair-Monange 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Premier Grand Cru Classé

Château Bélair-Monange 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Premier Grand Cru Classé

On the nose it is elegant, aromatic (nice aromatic palette), and it offers a nice definition, precision, depth, complexity and a nice racy grain. It reveals the notes of pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and more lightly bright berries associated with touches of lilac, violet, hints of camphor, nutmeg, pepper, discreet hints of vanilla as well as a subtle touch of saffron and spices. On the mouth it is fruity, balanced and offers a nice definition, a nice freshness, elegance, gourmandize, depth in excellence, suavity, a very nice fineness of the grain (racy / chalky), delicacy, a nice harmony, a certain aromatic purity, a good definition, richness in control (and freshness) as well as a power in control and finesse. The wine express the notes of bright/juicy raspberry, pulpy redcurrant and more slightly bright cassis associated with touches of fresh/acidulous blueberry, violet, lilac as well as fine varietal, mocha, toasted notes and a subtle hint of hazelnut. Good length. Nice and long persistence. Nice work on the bitterness. Nice grain at the end of the mouth. A nice bitterness of cocoa at the end / bottom of the mouth associated with fine toast. A little chew on the finish/persistence. A very nice wine with a great ageing potential. Congratulations!
