The nose is fruity, gourmand, elegant, racy and nicely powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry jam, cassis and slight notes of strawberry jam, spices associated with a discreet hint of Ceylon tea as well as a fine hint of acidulous candy and liquorice. The palate is fruity, suave, elegant and offers minerality, freshness, tension as well as a nice silky and slightly unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of strawberry jam, blackberry jam and slight notes of cassis associated with a hint of Quetsche plum, black cherry, licorice as well as a discreet note of rosewood, with slight notes of oak (in the background) and dark chocolate / mocha. Tannins are fine and well built. Good length and persistence with notes of dark chocolate.
