Château Balestard La Tonnelle 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Château Balestard La Tonnelle 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and aromatic. It reveals notes of cassis associated with touches of cassis bud, plum cream, blueberry as well as fine notes of chocolate, oak and a discreet hint of cinnamon. The palate is fruity, harmonious, silky, suave, relatively fat and offers freshness, tension, finesse, a good density and a small sensation of softness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cherry and plum associated with a hint of blueberry as well as woody notes. Tannins are fine. Good length. Currently oaky notes are quite present however, after ageing, they should be more integrated.
