Château Ascension 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Ascension 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fresh, fruity, elegant, taut, direct and reveals a certain complexity. There are hints of fresh boysenberry, blueberry and slightly crunchy strawberry with hints of fresh lily, fresh cherry and hints of fresh nutmeg, spice and a subtle hint of Szechuan pepper. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, juiciness, minerality, good definition, precision, some tension, a nice tight acidity and a little stretch. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of tart/juicy raspberry, juicy red currant and more slightly tart/fresh blackcurrant combined with hints of fresh lily, rose and hints of spice. Good length.
