Château Arnauld 2014 – Haut-Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

Château Arnauld 2014 – Haut-Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, elegant and relatively concentrated. It reveals notes of blackberry cream and chocolate associated with fine notes of red berries, crunchy strawberry, graphite / minerality, toasted oak, roasting, violet and a tip of cardamon. The palate is fruity, elegant, silky, relatively fleshy and offers a beautiful acid structure, a fine minerality, finesse, a nice grain, a beautiful juiciness and a good volume. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, juicy strawberry and small notes of blueberries associated with a hint of raspberry as well as touches of chocolate, flint, toasted oak, a discreet hint of roasting, zan, spices and a very discreet hint of tobacco. Tannins are fine, a bit young and slightly dry! Good length and persistence. The finish/aftertaste is a bit powerful. Good value!
