The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a garnet tinge. The nose is heady and balsamic, revealing nuances of ripe and overripe red and black cherries, hints of Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. The palate is powerful and concentrated, offering notes of kirsch, ripe raspberries, a hint of strawberry marmalade, nuances of coconut, vanilla and cinnamon, hints of smoke and balsamic. The tannins are round and smooth, though present and persistent. Good length.
