Château Ampélia 2022 – Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers airiness in its power, a pretty dense fruit as well as a nice finesse and a velvety side of the grain. We find notes of wild blackberry, spices and more slightly Cubeb pepper associated with small touches of small blue fruits, cornflower as well as a fine saline hint. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy structure, a lovely freshness, a lovely energy, some vibrancy, a very nice acidity as well as minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, juicy/bright blackcurrant and small notes of small bright/fresh red berries associated with touches of fresh flowers, a hint of crunchy/fresh blue plum as well as fine hints of Cubeb pepper, tonka bean, cloves and toast. Nice persistence.
