Château Ampélia 2021 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

Beautiful aromatic nose, quite ample and complex. We find notes of boysenberry, violet and small notes of fresh red berries associated with touches of saffron (on its flowery side), spices, a hint of fresh blueberry as well as a very discreet hint of sage and vanilla. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh, supple, juicy and offers brightness, gourmandise as well as an acidulous structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, bright raspberry and small notes of acidulous/juicy blueberry associated with touches of fresh/acidulous small plum as well as hints of infusion, toasted, nutmeg and with a subtle hint of tonka bean (in the background). Tannins are precise, fine, supple and stretched.
