Champagne Perrier-Jouët – Belle Epoque 2006, Rosé – Brut

The nose is beautifully elegant, full, chase and charming. It reveals notes of ripe strawberry, ripe cassis and violet/flowers (peony…) associated with discreet hints of kirsch cherry, crystalized pink grapefruit, ripe red apple as well as a very discreet hint of almond/bee wax. The palate is fruity, elegant, racy, silky/delicate and offers a beautiful definition, juiciness, a beautiful peps/dynamism, a beautiful roundness, a small freshness, a very fine tension, suavity, a fine acidulous frame as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. The effervescence is elegant and fine. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of sanguine orange, dry strawberry and small notes of blackberry, quince associated with small touches of kirsch cherry, cassis, peony, violet as well as a very discreet vinous hint, rose, ripe/juicy vine peach, acidulous blackberry candy and acacia honey/almond. The finish is very slightly tight.
