The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is intense, minty at first (peppermint, liquorice, a hint of star anise). It then expresses aromas of bright and fresh fruit (red cherry, cranberries, blackcurrant, crushed blueberry), a smoky and mineral hint (limestone, dry stone, a slight earthy touch), as well as a toasted and chocolatey hint (toasted hazelnut, cocoa). The palate is precise, straight and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry, cranberries, crushed raspberry, redcurrant, as well as a tangy hint of cocoa nibs, blackcurrant leaf and bergamot. We also find notes of nutmeg, liquorice, bitter cocoa and rosemary in the background. The tannins are firm, gripping, but fine, and give the wine a vertical and solid structure. Good persistence in the mouth, with tangy fruits and a salivating acidity.
