The nose is aromatic, quite elegant, racy and offers concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, black berries and small notes of red berries / raspberry associated with a touch of violet, menthol, olive tree / forest soil as well as small touches of sweet spices, caramelization and small toasted touches. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, nicely elegant, a bit aeral, silky, well-built, precise and offers a beautiful delicacy / finesse, gourmandise, a slight acid frame (in the background), power, a beautiful grain as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, blackberry, raspberry and wild strawberry combined with touches of blueberry jam, violet, menthol liquorice, toasted / caramelized oak, chocolate as well as a discreet hint of olive (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
