The wine shows a medium deep ruby colour with a garnet tinge. The nose is perfumed and intense, revealing notes of dried rose petals, dried red cherries, a touch of iron and earthiness. The palate is rather elegant and juicy with a fine, refreshing acidity and delicate, silky tannins. Fruity notes of red berries are interlaced with notes of macchia, dried herbs and a touch of gentian. A classic style of Chianti Classico with a well-integrated oak and a nice bitterness adding to the complexity. Good length.
