Cassagne & Vitailles – Pendut 2016 – Terrasses du Larzac

The nose is elegant, aromatic, precise, franc and offers delicacy in its power, a fine incisive side as well as a bright side, deepness and a beautiful complexity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright wild cassis, pulpy Boysen berry, small notes of violet plum associated with touches of wild strawberry, blueberry, pink pepper, roasted thyme, garrigue as well as hints of Badiane, violet, a fine saline hint, nutmeg and toasted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness as well as gourmandize, a beautiful precision, definition, a silky matter, an aerial side, tension and a beautiful guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of  bright cassis, crushed Boysen berry, raspberry associated with touches of wild strawberry, acidulous violet plum as well as fine hints of garrigue, olive tree, roasted rosemary, black tea, chocolate, roasted hazelnut, a subtle hint of liquorice and bourbon vanilla pod. Tannins are elegant and precise. A finish with a fine chew, a beautiful gourmandize, on hints of caramelization, caramelized almond, chocolate, crushed blue fruits and a very discreet hint of thyme flowers. A persistence on more of 16 caudalies.
