Casetta 2011 – Barbera d’Alba Superiore

The nose is fruity, complex and offers a small concentration as well as intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild small black fruits and small notes of gray pepper associated with small / fine touches of crushed strawberry as well as a discreet hint of scrubland and an imperceptible hint of ripe almond (in the background). The mouth is juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, suavity, tension, a small freshness as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry and fleshy small wild black fruits associated with small touches of ripe/juicy red berries, flowers (cornflowers, lily) as well as discreet hints of spices and very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background).
