Case D’Alto 2012 – Taurasi DOCG

Case D’Alto 2012 – Taurasi DOCG

The nose offers power, gourmandize as well as a certain intensity and a certain richness. It reveals notes of wild cassis, small bright black berries, small notes of cardamom, a discreet hint of local copse and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a certain freshness, a mineral frame/minerality and a small suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe cassis, very ripe violet plum, small notes of crushed redcurrant associated with a touch of violet fig, violet, cocoa, incense as well as hints of spices and a subtle hint of black pepper. Tannins are slightly firm. Good length. A subtle hint of caramelization on the finish.
