Cascina Luisin – Barbaresco DOCG 2016 Riserva

On the nose it offers a fine grain, a certain small power as well as a fine complexity. It reveals notes of rose, wild cherry and more slightly Boysenberry associated with touches of nutmeg, fleshy Damascus plum, a sense of place as well as discreet hints of liquorice and a subtle hint of pepper. On the palate it is fruity, well-balanced and offers suavity, a mineral structure, good definition, a certain gourmand, a fine tension, juiciness, a certain delicacy as well as a little tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, Damascus plum and more slightly crushed red berries associated with a touch of violet, pepper as well as a subtle hint of nutmeg, tobacco and a very discreet hint of hazelnut. The tannins are precise and finely firm. Good length.
