The nose is racy, finely powerful and offers a good structure and elegance. The wine needs to be served in carafe. It reveals notes of wild black berries, blackberries and small notes of wild strawberry combined with touches of ripe red cherry, fine laurel / garrigue, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper and a very discreet toasted hint (in the background). The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, gourmande and offers a good definition, minerality, suavity as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy raspberry, juicy strawberry and small notes of red berries, cassis associated with small / fine touches of black olives, laurel / olive tree as well as discreet hints of sweet spices, caramelized oak and an imperceptible hint of toasted almond. Tannins are fine, young and (very) slightly tight. Good length. Small chews and gourmandise on the finish. There is a hint of tonka bean on the persistence. (2022+)
