Casale Dello Sparviero 2012 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is fruity, concentrated and a bit gourmand. It reveals notes of black cherry, blackberry cream and slight notes of concentrated cassis combined with a hint of strawberry and slight notes of licorice stick. The palate is fruity, mineral, fluid, well-balanced, relatively gourmande and offers elegance and suavity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of Quetsche plum combined with hints of red fruit as well as slight notes of toasted wood, a discreet note of caramel and a touch of chocolate. There is a very discreet hint of salinity on the finish.
