Careglio –  Roero DOCG 2018, Baldissero d’Alba

On the nose is fruity and it offers a certain generosity, a little tension as well as a slight sensation of sweetness. It reveals notes of candied cherry, candied raspberry and slight hint of plum associated with fineness of rose, small red berries as well as an imperceptible hint of rosemary. On the palate, fruitiness, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy structure, tension, dynamism as well as straightforward. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / tangy cherry, tangy raspberry and more slightly fresh violet associated with touches of rose, small red berries as well as fine hints of plum, with discreet hints of fresh rosemary as well as an imperceptible hint of pepper. The tannins are well-built. Presence of a little bitterness on the finish / persistence.
