Capanelle 2013 – Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

The nose is relatively powerful, fruity and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry, redcurrant and slight hints of wild strawberry, cassis associated with a touch of Sichuan pepper, slight notes of minerality as well as hints of flowers, tonka / chocolate bean and a discreet hint og toasted wood. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave and offers a slight acid frame, fat, a fine unctuosity and a fine intensity / concentration. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, wild strawberries and slight notes of redcurrant combined with a touch of raspberry jam, Bourbon vanilla, toasted wood and discreet hint of tonka bean. Tannins are fine and well built. Good length.
