The nose is fruity, finely concentrated, racy and very powerful. There are notes of pulpy black cherry/blackberry, violet plum and, more slightly, fleshy blackcurrant, combined with fine touches of violet, cherry blossom, as well as fine hints of chocolate, toasted hazelnut and a very discreet touch of black olive, dry earth and vanilla. The palate is fruity, with minerality, juiciness, acidity, fine tension, precision and a very discreet crunchiness in the background. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackcurrant, bright violet plum and more lightly bigarreau cherry notes combined with fine touches of violet, nutmeg and a subtle hint of local dry earth/olive and a very discreet saline/sapid hint in the background and vanilla, focus on the fruit, approachable. The tannins are supple.
