Cantavitae – Kairós, Falanghina 2021 – Campi Flegrei DOC

The nose is fresh and offers fattiness, a fine unctuousness, a certain sensation of richness from batonnage. It expresses notes of nectarine, fresh apricot and, more slightly, minerality associated with a touch of quince as well as a fine hint of orange blossom and a discreet almost sulfurous hint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a mineral backbone, some volcanic energy/tension. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy white nectarine, fleshy/juicy pear and, more slightly, white flowers combined with a fine touch of white melon and a very discreet hint of small, pulpy white fruits. A certain richness in minerality and well managed. A subtle hint of toasted almond in the background, a nice fatness and roundness, a subtle almost iodine/sulfur hint in the background.
