Camille Giroud 2017 – Pommard

Camille Giroud 2017 – Pommard

(Les Cras) Nice elegant nose, which offers complexity, freshness, a velvety touch as well as a certain power with delicacy. It reveals notes of luscious boysenberry, violet, and slight notes of ripe cherry associated with touches of minerality, and lily as well as fine hints of blueberry and subtle hints of spices. The palate is fruity, and straight and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, energy, a nice texture, as well as elegance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/fresh plum, and more slightly – notes of violet associated with touches of blueberry, cornflower as well as a subtle hint of rose and a very discreet hint of sens of the place/laurel/local grove. A beautiful clayey freshness. The tannins are a bit chewy. Good length.
