Camille Giroud 2015 – Beaune Les Avaux Premier Cru

Camille Giroud 2015 – Beaune Les Avaux Premier Cru

The nose is well-built, aromatic and offers intensity as well as depthness. It reveals notes of cassis, flowers / cassis buds, and slight hints of plum, crushed strawberry associated with a hint of wild fruit, toasted hints / liquorice as well as subtle hints of Sichuan pepper, a very discreet hint of spices and an imperceptible touch of leather. The palate is fruity, juicy, mineral, well-balanced, racy, elegant and offers suavity, finesse, a mineral frame, a slight freshness, tension and a beautiful definition / guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, Quetsche plum and touches of raspberry associated with a subtle hint of Zan, spices, chocolate and Zan. Tannins are fine, elegant and finely chewy. Beautiful persistence. A great wine!
