Cain Five 2006 – Napa Valley

Cain Five 2006 – Napa Valley

The nose is very elegant, charming, gourmand and offers a very beautiful grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, small ripe wild black berries, chocolate and touches of undergrowth / mushroom associated with small touches of blueberry, Sichuan pepper, violet, grove / sap, very discreet hints of dry forest floor as well as a very discreet hint of camphor and spices. The palate is fruity, beautifully well-balanced, very slightly tight, silky, precise and offers a beautiful definition, a good freshness as well as a small gourmandise side. Everything is in place. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, ripe cassis and small notes of cherry, raspberry associated with slight hints of violet, acidulous blackberry candy, sweet spices, dry forest soil / sap as well as very discreet hints of chocolate (in the middle of the mouth) and mushroom. There is a very discreet hint of dried almond on the finish / persistence. Very beautiful finish. A beautiful, gourmand and elegant wine.
