Caiarossa – Aria di Caiarossa 2019 – IGT Toscana Rosso

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a nice purity in its definition / in its fruit, pulpiness, a nice flesh, density as well as a beautiful width of the aromatic palette. It reveals notes of pulpy/ripe purple plum, creamy blackberry and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with slight touches of tonka bean, slight hints of grove as well as a discreet side of eucalyptus, chocolate and a discreet iodized side. The mouth is seductive, elegant and offers a beautiful fruit, freshness, a nice fleshy/dense fruit, complexity as well as nice bitterness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy blackberry, fleshy/bright plum and small notes of bright redcurrants associated with a fine touch of crushed strawberry, eucalyptus, chocolate as well as a subtle iodized hint and a fine hint of local/varietal grove (in the background). Good length. Tannins are soft and sapid. A beautiful job on the bitterness, on the finish/persistence. Presence of an imperceptible almost fresh thyme / sage hint in the background. Brightness and purity in this wine.
