Caiarossa 2019 – IGT Toscana Rosso
The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers a small unctuous/pulpy side, density with finesse, a slight straightness, precision as well as a fine stretched side. It reveals notes of quite ripe Quetsche plum, creamy blackberry and small notes of Bigarreau cherry associated with slight touches of violet, cornflowers, discreet hints of small crushed blue fruits as well as a delicate hint of sage, pepper and a subtle hint of sense of place (local biotop). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, gourmandize, a beautiful purity of the fruit, a crystalline side in its minerality/definition, precision, an acidulous frame as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. Full of elegance and with a small aerial side in its density/in its smoothness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy Quetsche plum, violet, cornflowers and small notes of crushed blue berries/blue plum associated with touches of crushed strawberry, blueberry and a subtle hint of Bourbon vanilla, chocolate, a « rocky » side (soil) and salinity. A beauiful job on the good bitters. Presence of a subtle noble varietal hint in the background.
