The nose is elegant, slightly tight and offers power, intensity as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of red cherry, candied redcurrant, small notes of crushed cassis associated with touches of cherry seed, small blue fruits as well as touches of violet, lily, pepper, black tea, discreet hints of laurel berries and sense of the place. The palate is beautifully fresh, juicy, well-balanced and offers minerality, an acidulous frame and a juicy/acidulous beautiful fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed redcurrant, bright cassis, small notes of candied blackberry associated with touches of acidulous red cherry, juicy/acidulous violet plum as well as hints of liquorice stick, hazelnut, sweet spices, fine hints of vanilla and an imperceptible hint of dry local grove (in the background). Good length. Tannins are well-built and precise. A very discreet hint of dark chocolate and black tea on the persistence.
