C des Carmes Haut-Brion 2024 – Pessac-Léognan

C des Carmes Haut-Brion 2024 – Pessac-Léognan

(62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot) The nose is beautifully aromatic and offers delicate intensity, an airy side, velvetiness and a taut side. There are notes of wild blackberry, maceron and small notes of infusion, associated with touches of small concentrated berries, as well as a hint of black pepper, almost roasted-elegant strawberry, fleshy cherry and blue plum. The palate is well-built, supple, elegant, mellow, iodized, airy and offers a tangy frame, precision, energy, purity, a certain density and a lovely, precise, fine, iodized grain. A lovely mellow in finesse. Lovely, finely sappy/floral and iodized frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy wild cassis, juicy black plum and small notes of small dense/juicy red fruits, combined with touches of infusion, hints of cornflower, tonka bean, black tea, chocolate and hints of toasted almond. A lovely powdery on the finish/persistence. Good length. What a mouthfeel !
