Burmester 2016 – Vintage Port

Burmester 2016 – Vintage Port

The nose is aromatic, flowery and offers power. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and flowers (violet, lilac, a hint of iris) combined with touches of raspberry jam, candied cherry as well as slight hints of spices and Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a good definition, precision, delicacy, a good freshness as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed cassis and small notes of redcurrant jam, crushed raspberry associated with touches of dark chocolate, coffee, flowers / sandalwood as well as a very discreet hint of caramelization and spices. A wine full of delicacy.
