Bulas – 2013 Vintage Porto

The nose is aromatic, fine, powerful, elegant, fruity and offers gourmandise as well as concentration. It reveals notes of sour cherries, redcurrant jam, cherry, crushed wild strawberry, blueberry and small notes of cassis jelly associated with fine touches of cherry pit, almond, rose / flowers as well as subtle hints of cedar wood, tobacco, spices, pepper and an imperceptible hint of thyme (in the background). The palate is fruity, soft, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse / precision, a beautiful grain, tension, a small concentration, an aerial side, a beautiful definition, gourmandise as well as a fine acid frame. On the palate this Port expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed sour cherry and small notes of redcurrant jam, crushed strawberry combined with a hint of blueberry, dark chocolate, almond, a toasted hint as well as slight / discreet touches of caramelized oak, blond tobacco and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Tannins are well-built and supple. Good length and beautiful persistence. There are a hint of dark chocolate, caramelization and a hint of toasted almond on the persistence. Beautiful potential!
