Buglioni – Il Lussurioso 2016 – Amarone della Valpolicella

The nose is elegant, aromatic, racy, beautifully defined and offers power (full of control), a certain delicacy in its construction (despite its power). It reveals notes of dry cassis, dry black plum, small notes of strawberry cream associated with fine touches of crushed blueberry, small flowers, thyme as well as fine hints of dry local grove, a hint of black tea, caramelization, crème brûlée, bourbon vanilla pod and a very discreet hint of cardamom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a racy minerality, a beautiful definition, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful suavity as well as deepness, a certain complexity, a small melodious side and a fine aerial side in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy Boysen berry, crushed cassis, small notes of juicy/fresh blueberry associated with touches of fleshy strawberry, nutmeg, sweet spices, cardamom as well as very fine hints of toasted, tonka bean, black tea, black olive and sense of the (local biotope). Tannins are precise, elegant and offer a fine firmness.
