The nose is elegant and offers generosity (in delicacy), subtlety, a beautiful finesse of the grain, richness (well-controlled), complexity, a fine freshness, a captivating / perfume side as well as a nice multi-layered side. It reveals notes of pulpy Boysen blackberry, bright black plum and small notes of cornflowers, Tonka bean associated with touches of bright small blue fruits, lilac, toasted / caramelization, fine hints of Sichuan pepper, nutmeg, camphor as well as a subtle hint of exotic spices, tobacco, chocolate and an imperceptible hint of truffle (in the background). The palate is beautifully elegant, delicate, all in subtlety, well-built and offers power, richness (in delicacy), a small fat, a beautiful silkiness (all in richness), a beautiful finesse of the grain, a aerial side (in the approach), a good structure, complexity as well as deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of fleshy / pulpy cherry associated with touches of black plum, hints of camphor / incense, chocolate, Bourbon vanilla as well as fine hints of caramelization, blond tobacco, crushed hazelnut and vanilla flowers. Beautiful aromatic and gourmande persistence (17 caudalies). Presence of a very discreet hint of cocoa’ bitterness on the persistence. A beautiful wine, full of elegance, finesse and subtlety.
