Borges – Reserva Branco 2016 – Douro

The nose is fruity, fresh, fine and offers a very slight fleshiness (in the background). It reveals notes of ripe white peach and racy minerality (flint / rock) combined with slight notes of juicy grapes, fresh citrus, flowers as well as a discreet hint of zests, fresh lychee and imperceptible hint of white pepper (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, a good definition, a small roundness, finesse, a good structure as well as good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of vine peach, apple and flowers associated with a touch of lychee, fresh pineapple, fresh lemon as well as subtle touches of fresh pear, slight touches of racy minerality and a very discreet / imperceptible hint of eucalyptus.
