Borges – Quinta da Soalheira – Branco 2016 – Douro

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant, finely gourmand and offers ripe fruit. It reveals notes of quenette, ripe/fresh Granny Smith apple and slight notes of ripe / fresh citrus (kumquat, lemon, tangerine …) combined with subtle / discreet touches of racy minerality as well as imperceptible hint of eucalyptus (in the background). The palate is fruity, gourmand, elegant, well-balanced, straight, suave and offers a beautiful definition, a fine tension, finesse, a good structure, precision as well as fine juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy quenette and juicy vine peach associated with small notes of ripe green apple, pear, citrus (kumquat, lemon) as well as a touch of crunchy pineapple (in the background) and racy minerality. Good length.
