Barone Cornacchia, Poggio Varano – 2021, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

Beautiful, fruity, gourmand and textured nose that offers a beautful density and deepness. It reveals notes of bright wild cassis, pulpy purple plum and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of plum tree flowers as well as hints of liquorice stick/badian and a subtle (and delicate) hint of aromatic herbs. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a mineral/acidulous frame, gourmandize, tension, precision, a beautiful textured side, deepness, a beautiful matter, a slight infusion side, a slight airy cremosity as well as powerful and elegant grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy cassis and small notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry associated with touches of pulpy/juicy small blue fruits as well as touches of violet, fresh blond tobacco, sage/aromatic herbs as well as delicate hints of creamy fruits, cardamone and truffle (very discreet). Good length. Beautiful sapid persistence.
