Azul Portugal – White Porto

The nose is fruity, mineral and offers a certain power/intensity but full of straightness. It reveals notes of Eau-de-vie plum, small yellow fruits, small notes of lemon/dry lemon zests, a very discreet hint of dry mandarine zests and mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, a certain straightness, a certain tension as well as a small power and a fine fat. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of small dry yellow fruits, zante currant, small notes of Eau-de-vie yellow plum associated with small touches of Eau-de-vie pear as well as a subtle hint of dry mandarine zests, almond, an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background) and nougatine. Good length.
